This was a huge transformation for the homeowners. The home itself is stately and traditional, with large rooms and many amenities. The project includes the kitchen, laundry room and powder room, all of which were very dated with dark brown and orange accents. The biggest change to the footprint was the work triangle. The cooktop was originally located on the island with a very large stainless steel chimney hood suspended from the ceiling. We moved the cooktop to a perimeter wall opening up the sight lines, and opening up the island for better use. The custom Amish cabinetry is gorgeous in Grey elm which has a robust grain and is beautifully complemented by the light counters and tile floor.
