Distinctive Update in Naperville

Project Details

Categories:

The homeowners wanted to update their family room by replacing their existing built-ins.  The room has an elevated, beamed ceiling so larger scale was important to fit in the room properly.  The design was inspired by a family antique radio cabinet with a nod to homes of the early 20th century.   The cabinets are our Amish custom painted line, with a soft brush stroke glaze applied.  The mantle piece was stained to match the adjacent kitchen cabinets.   The entire design is quite large as it spans a 15′ wall and stands at 5 1/2′ tall. The cherry mantle is six inches thick.
