Beautiful floor to ceiling bookshelves where there were none. Additionally, the brick on the fireplace stretches wall to wall. The bookcases were customized to hide the brick without hindrance to the overall look.

The built in to the right of the refrigerator began it's life as a garage entrance. It continues the same style as the kitchen and fireplace surround. Notice the shiplap ceiling and painted beams!

This family room update was in conjunction with the kitchen project Fine Tuned in Plainfield.
We repeated the birch cabinetry in the family room. The built-in, located perpendicular to the fireplace wall, was originally an entrance from the garage. It had been converted prior to this remodeling project and makes a great display and storage space in this large room. Another entrance had been added nearer the laundry and powder rooms from a different wall of the garage.
The beams in this family room were originally dark brown. The beams were painted white to match the trim, and shiplap was installed on the ceiling in a neutral grey tone.
