The cabinets are from our Amish custom line in maple wood with a painted finish in Benjamin Moore's Sailcloth. The counters are topped with MSI's Chakra Beige quartz. A greige glass backsplash tile pulls all the finishes together.

By moving the refrigerator across the kitchen, it afforded space to include a peninsula for serving or quick dining. The inset photo shows how we adapted the refrigerator area of the kitchen for pantry storage.
Peninsula
By adding the peninsula, more storage was made available as well as seating and serving space.
RangeSide
On the working side of the kitchen, the design made space for a coffee bar/serving area. Next to the range is a spice rollout to house cooking tools and ingredients. The corner has a lazy susan, matching another lazy susan at the opposite corner by the peninsula. A large deep sink makes daily life in the kitchen easy to clean up!

This is the view from the kitchen, into the new dining area and open space to the living room. The fireplace mantle and built ins are in the same kitchen cabinet materials.

This remodel encompassed much of the first level. The living room and family room were adjacent to one another separated by a wide framed opening between the two rooms. The kitchen was open to the family room, and what was the original dining room was already repurposed as an office. We removed the wall dividing the living and family rooms to create one large space. The family room area became the dining space and the large living room is perfect for sizable gatherings or comfortable family evenings. New floors throughout, a quick powder room update and a slight kitchen reconfiguration created a flow the homeowners longed for.
