Better than builder-grade in Aurora

Project Details

Categories:

This Aurora kitchen remodel began with builder-grade cabinets, a peninsula that separated the kitchen from the dining space, and a big old soffit. The homeowner was set on optimizing her space to make the most of a wonderful open-concept first level, bright natural light and clean sight lines. We utilized a semi-custom cabinet line in stained maple wood with a contrasting painted island. The counters are topped in quartz with a light veining. All cabinetry transcended their builder-grade predecessors with roll-out shelves, soft close doors and drawers, and added several square feet of storage by eliminating the soffits and hanging the cabinets at ceiling level. Color was added to the space with the contrasting painted island and accent tile behind the cooking area.
