Elevation in Naperville’s Ashbury Neighborhood

Project Details

Categories:

This beautiful home with high ceilings needed to be taken to the next level.  The homeowners had refinished their wood floors previously, but it did more to accentuate their aging kitchen than hoped.  River Oak took our Amish custom cabinets to the ceiling, making use of the homes’ elevations.  They opted to replace a double oven and cooktop installed in a triangle shaped island in favor of a slide in oven/range combination with stainless steel chimney hood.  The cabinets are traditional shaker in styling, however a nod to a sleek clean lines came with the quartz counters that continued up the wall as the backsplash.  An additional point to address was a pantry closet with bi-fold doors.  The closet was removed and built in pantry cabinets were added to accentuate the high ceilings.  In an adjacent space connecting the kitchen and dining rooms, a butler pantry was replaced with matching cabinetry and closed storage.
