A Knock-Out in Naperville’s Knoch Knolls

Project Details

Categories:

This Knoch Knolls beauty was transformed using our Amish custom cabinetry from a traditional, large Naperville kitchen and family room combination to a clean-lined, well-appointed multi-purpose space for daily living and entertaining. As with most kitchen remodels, we explore the interior and remove soffits to carry the cabinetry to the ceiling. This adds a surprising amount of extra storage. This kitchen had a planning desk and a wet bar in the adjacent family room. The planning desk was converted to a service area with extra counter-height storage, and the bar was upgraded to match the kitchen’s decor.

White perimeter cabinets continue in the main kitchen space, contrasting with the stained island, wet bar, and accent on the custom hood. The stain used was carefully orchestrated to enhance the floor tones, not to blend too closely with the deep tones in the dark flooring. A simple and elegant backslash and quartz counters finish the foundation space. These design elements will take this kitchen comfortably through years of trends with its nod to the classic and a touch of modernity in the clean lines.
