The contrast is balanced so well with the dark cabinets, light veined countertops, dark fixtures and stained mirror frames. The countertops is a favorite of ours: Vicostone quartz named Diamonte. The veining is subtle and substantial all at the same time!

The shower walls are tiled with large scale, 9" x 4', wood look grey porcelain tile from Spain. The bathroom floor and shower floor are a slightly darker toned, texture rich porcelain tile. And the niche in the shower has a fun penny tile mosaic made of smooth and crackled glass. All fixtures are bronze including the glass shower door hardware.

This master bath project was especially enjoyable as we had been invited back after having remodeled the homeowners’ kitchen. Additionally, we remodeled the first floor powder room, hall bath and basement bath in addition to the master bathroom project. The square footage of the room is ample but the layout was not ideal for these homeowners. First thing on the chopping block was a large whirlpool tub and tub deck that took up so much space that the existing shower was quite small. After removing the tub, we were able to maximize the shower and add storage. We utilized our Amish custom cabinetry in a rich stain for a beautiful double vanity and storage cabinet. With custom work, the world is full of choices; we were able to adjust the height of the shower plumbing to suit the homeowners’ stature.
