The perimeter cabinets and island share the shaker door style. The floors were original and were patched to accommodate the new island.

A standard builder grade kitchen was updated to a light bright gathering place in this stylish Batavia home. Although the home had great natural light, nine can lights and three pendants were installed to further brighten things up and lend control to the lighting. The main refrigerator was moved from the cook top wall and placed where an original pantry closet was located. By eliminating the pantry closet, we found a better home for the refrigerator, added pantry cabinetry alongside the refrigerator. The cook top work space was then expanded into upper and lower cabinetry plus more counter space.
