The homeowners utilized pre-existing pendant lighting over the old island, for doubled up lighting over the new sink area. The backsplash is simple white ceramic tile by Equipe Ceramicas, and an accompanying accent tile with strokes of blue from the same manufacturers Splendours line.

The overall look of the kitchen is fresh and somewhat beachy in creams, blues and driftwood tones.

The perimeter cabinetry is painted maple, in Lace White paint. All counters are Global Marble & Granite's Italia Firenze quartz. It is a white quartz with subtle grey veining throuhout. The accent tile behind the cooking area is a polished and frosted glass tile by Soho Studios from their NewBev collection in dusk. The tiles were installed vertically to the ceiling behind the chimney hood for impact.

Additional features of the space includes two service areas; one in the entryway to the dining room, and one that bridges the space between the kitchen and family room. Another is the pantry rollout next to the deluxe larger sized refrigerator. All completed in the same look and providing excellent functional style.

Our Amish custom cabinets are a perfect add to this beautiful home. The layout itself didn’t change much, but the materials sure did. We took the builder grade painted cabinetry and island up a few notches. The homeowners lead the way with a calm and relaxing coastal color palette and their desire to tweak a few things in the kitchen. We removed soffits and ran cabinets to the ceiling, enlarged the rectangular island to a more sizable square and added functional stylish storage where space allowed. Overall a beautiful remodel that will be enjoyed for years to come.
