Harmonious in Heritage Knolls, Naperville (Part 1 – Kitchen)
Project Details
Categories:
This remodel encompassed much of the first level flooring, a powder room, kitchen and upper level master bathroom.
The cabinetry used throughout the home is our Amish custom line in Maple wood with a painted finish.
The first level wood floors were completed in a medium stain to contrast the white molding and kitchen cabinetry. The overall kitchen project kept a similar foot print but was enhanced. Where there had been a floor to ceiling oak pantry, white cabinets replaced the oak and it was designed as a serving area with lower and upper cabinets, glass doors for display and a granite counter area.
A new window was added over the sink in an awning vent style that can remain open even in inclement weather as it opens from the bottom.
Two styles of granite were used in the kitchen with a remnant happily utilized for the powder room. The perimeter cabinets are topped with Absolute Black Leather granite. It has a leather finish, which is matte and has some slight texture to it. The island is finished in Piracema White granite and has a lot of movement and interest. It is the Piracema White that was used in the powder room. (Powder Room can be viewed in ‘Bathrooms’ of the Gallery).
