The cabinetry is a vertical grain high pressure laminate by Quest Cabinetry. The counter level windows appear in both the kitchen and laundry rooms.

Ceramic tile floors was replaced with luxury vinyl flooring by Armstrong, laid in planks. It is soft underfoot and naturally offers some noise reduction and non-slip qualities.

Adjacent to the dining area is a service bar and floor to ceiling pantry. All the counters are topped with Colorquartz Paloma White. The glass backsplash is vintage inspired tile by MS International in Mocha Cream.

This home in west Aurora was built in 1953. The homeowners were looking for modern amenities but in keeping with the original mid century modern feel of the home. Additionally, there is an “in-law” apartment in the rear of the home that had a secondary galley style kitchen that had been converted to a laundry room. This space bridged the two living areas; main house and in-law apartment. Identical finishes were used in both the kitchen and laundry rooms. All lower base and pantry cabinets are equipped with convenient roll out shelves, and in the corner, a two tiered lazy susan, for easy access to all the contents stored in the cabinets.
