Originally the sink was at an angle on the same wall, with a small peninsula cutting into the eating area. The taupe glass subway tile backsplash creates light reflection which makes design elements sparkle and brings an exciting energy to the space.
Peninsula
To the left of the range, a small pantry closet was removed. By extending the counters and cabinetry, an abundance of efficient storage was added to this galley kitchen. A lazy susan at one end and deep drawers and cabinets with roll outs puts everything at one's fingertips. The peninsula's relocation adjacent to the living space now provides not only much needed work space, but seating as well.

What a nice view of the Bianco Antico granite on this counter run and peninsula. It's a perfect complement to the Amish, custom stained birch cabinetry.

We embarked on this remodel with repeat clients after completing a master bath project for them a short while ago. We were so grateful to be invited back to update their kitchen to match their personal aesthetic.
Refined, clean lines and warm modern tones, take this “builder blah” kitchen to the next level. We carried the cabinetry to the ceiling and changed the footprint to provide more square footage of storage and some counter seating. The Amish, custom stained birch cabinetry looks like it was meant for the space and is smartly topped with Bianco Antico granite. Additionally, the wood floors were refinished in a deeper stain and carried throughout the entry and living room walkway.
