The custom Stanisci ventilation hood was designed to match the raised panel cabinetry and provide a focal point to the kitchen. The hood is flanked by stacked wall cabinets with a horizontal hinged cabinet with glass inlay to add to the focal point in this design.
WassmanIsland
The contrasting island is finished in a black stain with a burn through artistic finish. The island is topped with Silver Cloud granite which also contrasts the perimeter counters. A drawer style microwave, garbage/recycling roll out, cabinet storage and seating completes the island.
WassmanStorage
For added storage a floor to ceiling pantry cabinet with roll out shelves was provided, as well as vertical dividers above the refrigerator for pans and serving platters. On the right, where the desk was removed in favor of cabinetry and serving space, the upper cabinet was outfitted with organizational cubbies to mimic an office space.
WassmanKitch
The raised panel white cabinetry surrounds the kitchen and is topped with Steel Gray granite. Under cabinet lighting illuminates the beautiful arabesque crackled tile backsplash and is reflective in the dark granite. The heavily pigmented black stain on the island has a burn through artistic finish. This kitchen is ready for daily service or elegant entertaining!

These Glen Ellyn homeowners wanted to change the color palette and feel of their kitchen. The existing kitchen was maple cabinetry with dark granite counters and a natural stone tile backsplash. We kept a very similar footprint but eliminated a gap above the cabinets, and a desk area adjacent to the dining room. Floor to ceiling pantry cabinets were added, giving proper kitchen storage to this home. The wood flooring was refinished to a deep brown tone which contrasts beautifully with the white cabinets. Arabesque tile, pendants with some bling, and the glass upward tilt stacked cabinetry adds a bit of glam to this reimagined design.
